Deck Of Choice: A Tale of Two Sisay's, Chowder vs Chain

Round three of Siege, I was seat two with a Rockside at mold to two, myself on a second seven, a Lotho deck, and then the Cabbage Merchant in seat four.

I had a turn 2 Kennen, a turn 3 Faber-Elder, and I was so sure that I was untapping and winning because that's just a Cissé board state to win from if you're playing traditional tutor chains.

I forgot to move to combat with my Kennen and my Faber-Elder before activating Cissé.

Faber-Elder has Vigilance, doesn't it?

It sure does.

The reason why that's super important is I get to declare the attackers, then use them for mana, if they're a mana dork with vigilance, which gives me an additional attacker for the Derevi that I activated to find, which gives me an additional untap, which says I now can grab Deadpool to switch text boxes with Derevi, untap my Fae Burrow Elder, and go into a full chain.

The problem is I spun in main phase because I thought I had enough mana, and I was off by one.

Because I forgot that casting Cissé that turn was expensive.

We love Cissé math, it's awful.

I get Dargo math, I don't get Cissé math.

That seems like it hurts.

Sisay math has more than one component to it, because you have to constantly track the Sisay power, what your mana taps for color-wise, and then also if I am going unprotected, how many spins does it take to win and present a hey, can we shortcut my infinite mana? Generally...

You should be able to get there in two spins if you have a 4-4 Cissé.

I mean, kind of less now since you have those new toys, right?

seen Dio get there with two spins at a 3-power Cissé, I thought.

There are board states where you can get there from a 3-3 Cissé.

But in general, it's going to be a 4-4 Cissé as two spins.
