The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, was confirmed at E3 by Bethesda to be getting a complete remaster, set to release this fall. The remastered version of Skyrim is set to include console mods, a massive…
Yep, that's right.
Built from the ground up again with modern technologies, and one of the biggest graphical overhauls for date.
Fit for next-gen, or I guess you could say current-gen consoles, as well as PC.
In the background, you're looking at the video and some screenshots from it that Bethesda used to make their announcement at E3, and wow.
Bethesda also promises the inclusion of modding for consoles, as well as what appears to be using the same system that Fallout 4 does for mods.
Now, as to whether or not players will be able to use mods made for the original version of Skyrim over on the remaster or not was still left a bit unclarified.
However, it seems rather unlikely at this point in time.
However, we can still expect further clarification in the coming days.
Maybe I'm wrong on this one.
Now, for the official release date of this product, it is set to be October 28th, 2016, following just a little over a week short of its five-year anniversary on November 11th.
As for pricing, we can expect the average $60.
However, there's probably going to be some special editions and collector editions as well that come with artwork and whatnot that'll all be priced a little bit higher.
Overall, I'm super excited for this thing.
I am so hyped right now.
I cannot wait to jump back into this game.
It made up a huge portion of my earlier years, I guess you could say.
Middle school, a little bit in middle school, a little bit in high school.
This game was huge to me.
or even a PC using the modern tools that it's going to give us and the modern graphical designs.
I'm so excited to mess around with the mods and how those are going to look around.
I'm just overall completely hyped for this thing.
Now, I'm also rather curious to look for improvements in respects other than just graphics and visuals, because the original Skyrim was running on an engine optimized back in 2011, and this new one will undoubtedly be on a significantly improved version of said engine, if not on an entirely new, completely superior one altogether.
So things like physics and performance will also likely be improved on this remaster as well, which, albeit, does probably suggest that many of those absurd glitches that Skyrim was famous for, looking at you, mountain horses, will go away, or at least become a lot less obvious, which, honestly, is kind of sad to see.
