Now, April.

April in Britain is interesting because it feels like the country is finally waking up again.

You've got the great darkness, which is sort of November to March time, and then April comes, and it's finally sort of creeping through that nice weather again.

Flowers are growing.

Easter's come in.

The mood's slowly building.

You said goodbye to the cold mornings, the gray skies, the, just the darkness.

Get rid of the darkness.

And then it's kind of like with April, it's that...

See, you're into spring, but there's a bit more hope coming.

The flowers are returning.

There's more greenery, and importantly, the clocks are going back.

Fall back, jump forward.

Forward.

Sorry, the clocks are going forward.

So in the UK, in April, in spring, the clocks go forward one hour, so we have one hour more daylight.

And then in, in fall, so autumn or fall, as the Americans say, the clocks go back one hour.

So essentially, we have one hour more daylight each day, and that actually makes a really big difference to your day.

'Cause in winter, you finish work, and it's already dark at four thirty, and it's just depressing.

Whereas you get to spring, you get to April, days are longer.

Weather's getting better.

And also, we should mention April, Easter usually falls in April, so it does depend year to year, but it pretty much always in April.

And Easter is a fun time, mainly because you can eat chocolate eggs, chocolate rabbits, stuff your face full with chocolate.
