Over the past decade, perhaps two, organisations have built a sophisticated language around energy and carbon, kilowatt hours saved, scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
We have calculators to arrive at sophisticated measurements of embodied carbon, and dashboards built to impress owners and regulators.
Showercap does realise energy and carbon savings, but there is often a missing piece.
They can receive 4,000 to 5,000 mm of rainfall every year, while many regions of the south-east and particularly east of England can experience as little as 600 mm per year.
And while climate change is making Britain wetter overall, this is owing to increasingly wet winters, while summers are increasingly dry.
Even if we know how much has disappeared, we often do not know where, when or why.
