When most people think about solving the energy crisis, massive wind farms and solar grids usually steal the headlines.

But increasingly, a revolution is happening in nuclear energy within the rapidly maturing Small Modular Reactor, or SMR, range.

These are the factory-built, rapidly deployable clean energy units that, in capacity terms, sit anywhere up to about a 500 megawatt ceiling.

But manufacturing these reactor vessels at scale and speed has been a critical challenge.

Indeed, anything that slows down the rapid production of these SMRs creates a problem to be overcome and undermines a lot of the benefits of such units.
