And so perhaps it's no surprise then that our most popular episode yet again, this season was with Acre.

So Catherine Harris and Richard Kent joined us talking about sustainability recruiting.

And I think it really gets to the fact that we all just want to know what's happening in the job market.
Oh, for sure, because I can say personally what I've been seeing is a lot of competition for not a lot of sustainability marketing comms roles.
But it was very interesting to hear from Catherine and Richard about like how they were talking about the work is still getting done, but it's getting done by different departments or the work is migrating into different departments.

The reporting, the compliance, the supply chain piece, somebody still has to do it.

And I know we're going to talk a bit about regulations in the end of our recap, but there's a lot of movement on the policy front, both at the global level and the state level.

And so I think that is both exciting and also challenging news for those of us trying to stay in this industry.

It's good if you're flexible about your title, harder if you've built your entire identity around being the quote, sustainability person.
Oh, for goodness sakes, right? And as the elder stateswoman in this conversation, that's good advice always is to be flexible on these things.
I mean, as I take us down a back road of like, I've done lateral moves, I've done title, you go down to go up and all that.
It's like constantly reassessing and basically who will hire us and what do we know how to do? And I think Richard's very good pragmatic advice was take the call, take whatever call.
Yeah, that even if it seems like it's weird, I mean, at least hear what people are saying and how they're asking about yourself.

And as we're in a quick moving space, I think the other maybe more positive note of that is, you know, you might be surprised in how people see you as a good fit for their organization.

But I think if we can approach these conversations with curiosity, that allows us to be more open.
