Trip coverage shenanigans continue. Pilots are hearing the finger-pointing from management over trip coverage, ARCOS, auto-accept, and operational reliability, and many are asking a pretty simple…
seen what I call the finger pointing and a lot of pilots are kind of walking around with their hands in the air saying, like, how is this our problem? I want you to talk to us and address that issue.
Management comes out with what they're calling an educational series, which is explaining essentially their side of the story of trip coverage.
What's your take here? What do you want pilots to put in their pocket when we go to work? And, you know, yeah, we're wearing the lanyard.
We're doing all the things that Delta wants us to do because we're good professional pilots and professional employees.
You know, there are win-win solutions that certainly our negotiators have put forward that would solve a large percentage of the company's problems that are not concessions.
There are actually win-win solutions out there, makes things work better for everybody, you know, but they decided that they want the 100% solution in that you don't get from A to B there.
I would just simply point out from the company finger pointing, hey, every time you point the finger at somebody, you got three more fingers pointing back at yourself.
So as far as the pilot's perspective, read the notepads that come out, the negotiator's notepads, look at the AMEC alerts that come out.
Certainly the company has their opinion, but I would just simply point out that they don't have the greatest batting average when it comes to actually delivering an all-time product.
Every change that they have made since 2018 has driven us kind of farther into the hole.
