When you see one blood program, you, you've seen one blood program, and every department, every jurisdiction has their own needs.
And, and so, you know, we, uh, you know, with our blood center, uh, you know, the component therapy is, is better when it comes to longer expiration dates.
Um, we're able to cycle through blood, uh, back to them when it comes close to expiration.
Uh, you know, and so they feel comfortable with the component therapy more than whole blood.
You know, blood, uh, you know, blood donors out there aren't, aren't, aren't, uh, lining up in front of these, uh, blood centers anymore, you know? And so, uh, you know, they're having to, um, you know, do more with less.
Uh, and, uh, the component therapy is, is, is one of the more secure supply chains that we have seen, at least locally.
I know some people, you know, again, some programs have no problem getting the whole blood.
You know, we... we're, we're working with the component therapy with the blood center, and it's working just fineUh, you know, and so, uh, i- in, and the starter program, it costs money.
And, and fortunately for us, we've been able to fund our entire program through a grant with the city health department.
Uh, and so blood, you know, fell right into that, and so we were able to buy all of our refrigerators and coolers and all the other stuff that you need to ensure that you have, uh, good clean blood.
