Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne feud over a necklace but at least the storyline around the world title is really good.
First of all, they're feuding over a necklace primarily, which I mean, I totally understand that not every feud has to be like a blood feud.
um and that people do get upset about things like necklaces and whatever but like i don't know it feels a little odd but that's fine like whatever if they want a feud over a necklace if the feud was good it would be it would be cool um but this really does seem like another example and i don't want to go on to a huge rant here we've gone on a lot of chris jericho rants on this show i don't want to go on a huge rant here but this really does feel like another jericho feud where he's like oh i'm working with a young guy that's going to give him a rub and he'll probably lose one match to Nick Wayne probably on Dynamite or something like that and then they'll have a big gimmick match and he'll win because that's what Chris Jericho does he usually gets in three match feuds with like the hot thing Loses one of those three matches, wins the other two, and then moves on.
And the person who was in the feud with him isn't really any better off than he was when it started.
That's not to say Jericho is a bad wrestler.
I'm not saying like, I know there's this idea that like, oh, he's slow and he can't work.
Like his matches have been good.
Like his matches have been perfectly fine.
His matches with like Champa were very good.
I really enjoyed them.
But it does really feel like Champa's cooled off a lot since that feud with Jericho, even though the matches themselves were good.
Um, and then this match, I mean, it was good.
Uh, but the ending was just really, really dumb.
Um, it was supposed to, I think, look like Jericho accidentally pulled off Nick Wayne's necklace.
But to me, it really looked like Jericho tried to pull off Nick Wayne's necklace and then won the match.
And then the announcers were just like, oh, how could Nick Wayne be upset about that? I'm like, it did seem like Jericho pulled off the necklace on purpose.
Um, And it's been established that whether that's a silly plot point or not, it's been established that the necklace means something to Nick Wayne.
And then Jericho, you know, broke it.
So, I mean, he's kind of right to be upset, in my opinion.
I don't know.
But there's going to be another match.
Wayne attacked him after the match, so obviously there's going to be another match.
I would love to be proven wrong.
