This Week In Karting: EP102 – September 29, 2026

All right, David, we've done a pretty good job.

Last show, episode 101, was back in August 25th, so just about a month ago.

Obviously, we've been on the road.

I've been on the road, but man, you've been busy.

There's been a lot of major news schedule-wise, program-wise, hitting the EK and homepage over the last couple of weeks.

Yeah, lots to talk about, so let's dig in with our first segment, which is pretty much all Scoozy-related.

Yeah, lots going on.

Let's talk about first and foremost, the return to Orlando Cart Center for the 2027 Winter Series.

Yeah, that's kind of the first of three items to hit with Supercarts USA.

They announced prior to Orlando Cart Center announcing the new ownership taking place there with Andre Martins stepping aside.

That Supercarts USA will go back to the state of Florida and the Orlando Cart Center hosting the 2027 Skuza Winter Series program there.

January 15th through the 17th and February 12th through the 14th and doing their co-op with Race Rotax and Karting Solutions Group, which will run the RMC Winter Trophy at Orlando Kart Center as well, January 22nd through the 24th and then February 19th through the 21st.

Yeah, so busy weeks coming up at Orlando Card Center.

But yeah, Super Cards USA back to Florida.

And I find it always interesting.

Obviously, the Florida Winter Tour, now a Rock Cup program.

But when I started Shifter Card Illustrated back in 98 and 99, my first big kind of road trip was 1999.

And I think it was January.

I drove from Canada 24 hours straight.

down to Florida for what was then the second Supercars USA Florida Winter Tour.

So they, you know, Scusa's been running Florida Winter Tour races on and off, obviously some different ownership, it changed what was down there.

But man, back in like 1997, like we're looking at, you know, we're talking 30 years of winter series racing.

Well, this iteration of the scusa winter series goes back to 2018 and was in Florida up until last year when it moved over to the speed sports racing park in Texas.

So, uh, that this has been the only year we haven't been in Florida for the scusa winter series, which will.

Again, return, as you said, to Florida.
