Now let's start where an honest conversation has to start.

The concerns are real.

I'm not gonna stand here and tell you the people fighting these projects are crazy.

I've read their filings, I've read their letters.

Most of what they're worried about is worth worrying about.

But first, let's be clear about what we're arguing over.

Datacenter.

That's a terrible name for it.

You've been using datacenters your entire adult life.

Your email, your streaming, your photos, your bank, your church's live stream.

We built them for 40 years and the Republic survived.

So what changed? Not the building, the density.

A rack of AI chips pulls several times the power of a normal server rack.

Same floor space, far more electricity.

And nearly every watt of that turns into heat that has to go somewhere.

That one engineering fact generates every argument in this episode.

I touched a piece of this on a recent Pirate Money radio show, but this goes further into the money, the water, the math, the politics.

and understand the scale.

This is one of the largest private construction programs in modern American history, landing mostly in rural counties.

So here are the concerns, and I'm going to state them fairly.

Concern number one, your electric bill.

When one facility draws as much power as 100,000 homes, somebody pays to build the generation and the wires.

The question is who? Concern number two is water.

Cooling those chips takes water.
