Not at war, yet under attack: Germany's Russia challenge

It was Russia.

Remember that armed drone that was found at the beginning of August at Leipzig Airport in Germany? Many suspected it back then, and now it's official.

Germany's government attributed it to Russia.

That happened on Tuesday.

And the question now is, of course, is Germany now officially part of a global hybrid war? And could that mean that Germany will need more support from NATO, from the United States of America? So this is relevant to you if you're watching us from the United States.

But first things first, just to kick it off here, is Germany at war? The German interior minister, Alexander Dobrindt, had this to say about it on Tuesday.

Let me make this clear.

We are not at war, but we are the daily target of hybrid warfare.

He says Germany not at war, but of course, Germany did decide some measures that are, well, designed to punish Russia.

I think that's how it's put.
