Walker Eget and Nate Sheppard SHINE as Duke defeats Illinois 31-27!!

um, Caden Hooser, you know what

I'm

saying? There's no such thing as perfect, but, uh, five or five for 55 yards out there on the first drive seemed like he just could not miss.

And then of course, um, targeted his guy, Colin Dixon four times, but he ended up having three receptions, 31 yards.

And of course ended it with a 13 yard touchdown, uh, to cement it.

Um, that drive ended up taking four minutes off of the clock to start it off.

So early on, Duke was in the hole, but immediately with an answer back, put it on the shoulders of Nate Shepard.

Of course, four plays, go 75 yards, and huge runs from Nate Shepard.

One was a 12-yard run to kind of start it off, and then one of his – Later runs ended up being a 29-yarder to, you know, set them in good field position.

And Walker Egott would throw his first touchdown pass as a Duke Blue Devil to Jonah Burton with a 12-yard passing touchdown.

And the drive ended up taking a minute and 55 off of the clock.

So just starting it off, we ended up having a 7-7 game very quickly, just seeing the offense come out and both offenses come out and look very good.

But Nate Shepard, of course, had three carries on that first drive for the Duke offense and had 41 yards.

He's been a bell the entire time, definitely one of the leaders of the group.

And just through two weeks, I mean, just amazing, amazing, amazing running back that we've been able to see throughout.

On the second drive, though, for Illinois, another good drive by them, which ended up going 11 plays for 43 yards.

But Caden Hooser ended up missing Dixon on an open wide hitch and go, which would have ended up in a touchdown, but unfortunately missed him a little bit, which, you know, they'll be able to go back and kind of look at that and see, you know, how they – you know, what went wrong ultimately and how that, you know, ended up transpiring.

But, you know, mistakes happen in a game, and they ended up still getting a 51-yard field goal by their kicker, Ethan.

I did not want to say

his last name wrong, but he ended up getting the lead to 10-7 with about three minutes left in the first quarter.

The drive right after that would end in a three and out, unfortunately.

Psych, he

did not.
