Episode 155: A new iPhone enters the Fold

So with that, let's talk about the September event.

I'm pretty excited, but I have some concerns and some mixed

emotions.

How are you feeling? I think I feel the same way.

There's some things I'm excited about, some things I'm kind of neutral on, some things I'm a little bit concerned about, for sure.

But overall, excited.

Yeah, I mean, frankly, there's not a whole lot to be bummed about when there's an Apple event.

It's always fun, even if you're just there to make fun of it, which we tend to do fairly frequently.

But basically, this year is a weird one.

I'm sure you guys have been keeping up to date with this stuff, but we are not going to be getting the regular iPhone 18.

That is...

If I'm not mistaken, I think this is the first time that Apple has ever done something like that.

They always release the new phones, not release, they announce them all together.

But we had, I think the iPhone 10 had a staggered launch in like October, November.

We've had a couple of like weird arrangements, but I don't think we've ever been in a multiple iPhone event world, which seems like it is now going to be the case.

Yeah, I think it's – in some ways it makes sense and in some ways it doesn't.

I do feel like, you know, it lines up with how Apple announces, you know, Macs and iPads.

They don't announce them all at the same time.

They kind of split them up.

And I feel like, you know, for the past while they've been doing like a new color in the spring.

Same phone, half a year old at this point.

They haven't even done that in a couple years though, I think.

No.

They did for a little while.
