um and um so what's the reason that coaching is so important within driver training um

I'd kind of go a little bit further than that.

It's how coaching is just so beneficial in everyday life.

It's not just driving instruction.

We can see the benefits

through

all the research that's been done.

And, you know, I come from a sports coaching background.

So that's where I originally kind of came from.

What's a little bit frustrating for me is when I came into the industry, I was convinced by my trainers and kind of other people that coaching wasn't designed for this industry and we needed to leave it aside.

So

it took me a few years to come back around.

But if we're trying to create these thinking drivers who can not just rely on the driving instructor next to them, if they can rely on themselves to have skills to go out there and be independent on their own, then this is where coaching can really help.

Now, one of the things that I've kind of noticed, Andrew, is.

There have there has been this theme in my eyes sort of while I've been in the industry for 15 years is that coaching is this magic elixir that is going to fix everything.

And I disagree with that.

Yeah.

Coaching can be very, very powerful.

However, it is not the fix of everything.

Oh, brilliant.

So that's really interesting.

I just want to pick up on a couple of points.

The very first thing that you said was coaching is for life.

And I think that's something that's really important.

What we're teaching are skills for life.
