If we were to put you into a spaceship and send you to space, and this is the last bit of thing you could give to someone who wants to actually really grow their personal brand, what is probably the only thing that does matter and should matter for them right now? Simple.
Get a piece of paper, draw three circles that overlap, and then in each circle on the outside, write down the three things you're most obsessed with.
So for example, me, I'm obsessed with human psychology, physiology, biology, eye contact, language, linguistic tonality.
Design, I have a book in my library on the history of cigarette packet designs, and I think that is one of the coolest books ever.
So when I drew these three circles, I asked myself the question, and if you're listening to this, write down your three circles of obsession, the shit you cannot stop talking about that might be synchronized.
In the gaps between them, ask yourself, what's the chemistry of combining those two things? So if you take in my circle, the top one was psychology.
Then it's like, okay, my third circle of obsession was altering perspectives, how design can alter perspectives or how altering perspectives can be done through the art of psychology.
those little pockets in between are the things that I believe kind of become your niche or your space of one of oneness, right? On the outside, a lot of people talk about psychology, a lot of people talk about design, a lot of people talk about altering perspectives, but when you start adding those different chemistry or elements together, you start to create a different ingredient and that might feel unique.
In all of this, in the middle, I want you to ask yourself, what are the things that are your idiosyncrasies, your imperfections? What are the things you're really good at? And what are the things that make you weird? So for example, I like reading books and collecting books I'll never read.
