I mean, in, in recent years, the International Energy Agency had projected that global coal use would, uh, peak by 2030 and then decline, and they ha- they have had to revise that projection several times because we keep seeing, uh, you know, rising demand for coal.

Something to keep in mind, though, is that it has also, this, this rise in, in coal, has also been driven by surging electricity demand as we electrify, uh, you know, more of our activities and daily uses.

And even though we have seen a leap in renewable energy production, it's not going fast enough in order to cover for rising electricity demand.

Some countries are accelerating, of course, uh, renewable power and nuclear power, um, but those plans do take time.
