This week, I’m answering your questions. We’re talking about what younger you would think of your life now, navigating relationships, making money and side hustles, and the question I’m obviously…
Do you ever have the thought in your mind, like, why are you doing something? Like, right now I'm in bed.
And you wonder, like, would young you...
Like, would young you be surprised, like not surprised, disappointed, proud of like you now? Sometimes I wonder, does young me know how much anxiety future me has and like all these other issues? I don't know.
But sometimes I just wonder, like, what would that version of me think about this version of me?
Look, I think about being younger all the time and simultaneously at the same time recognize that I'm now the youngest I'll ever be again.
in 10 years, I'm going to look back at my 30s and be like, I was young, so I try to enjoy it.
But when I think about my younger self, I think about it either one of two ways, because I never ever in a million years thought that I was going to be able to use my voice in the way that I have.
And I did all those things growing up, and I continued to do them in my adolescence.
And especially at the level that it has, where I have like full creative control over everything I do.
But then I think to myself, well, Why can't current me be proud of myself? Because I'm so hard on myself.
Like, wow, if you would have told me when I was 10, 15, even 20, even 25, that in my early 30s, late 20s, I would be this voice for mental health and being able to use comedy as a way to make people feel seen and make people laugh and bring people together and be doing that for a living.
