DogStar - Mortem

Uh, are you from Minnesota? We like to find out if you're a Minnesota artist, uh, from birth or whether you moved here.

Matter of fact, I was.

I was born in Minneapolis, uh, in June 25th, 2000, year of the golden dragon.

Okay.

Mm.

Lived in Minneapolis till I was, like, four or five.

Then my fam decided to move to Lakeville, the suburbs, and that's where I've resided ever since.

Okay.

So I am a born and raised Minnesotan.

I like to hear it.

Very cool.

Born in the cold, yeah.

[laughs]

So in those early years, um, who was deciding what music you were listening to? Uh, who had the best taste in music, uh-

It's a crazy story, bro.

Like, my mom told me when I was a baby she would put headphones on her stomach and play, uh...

It was, um, some sort of blues music, uh, and Dark Side of the Moon.

Hmm.

I, I can't remember the name of the, the blues artist right now, but Dark Side of the Moon she would play in headphones on her pregnant belly.

So that was some of the first music I guess I ever heard without hearing.

[laughs] Yeah.

Which is a pretty cool album.

I really like, uh...

What's the, what's the singer in that band?

Pink Floyd? Um, not Jimmy Page.
