The summer is almost over and Bryan Hodgson has been spending his time recruiting HARD. We talk about that, the Friars at Fenway, and much much more.
Yeah, and first pitch, it was supposed to be Brian Hodgson, but it ended up being Miles Bird, who has some baseball background, actually.
His dad posted a picture on Twitter, a couple pictures of him playing Little League, Southpaw.
He brought the heat with the first pitch.
You don't see first pitches like that.
You know what's funny? I think word got around probably five or ten minutes before the first pitch that Miles Bird was going to be the one throwing it out, and I was like, I mean, he's in playing shape.
He's what, 22, you know, legitimate, active athlete.
I'm like, okay, he might, he might pump some gas here.
And then, so I was kind of expecting him to throw hard.
And then when he did that, I was like, I want a radar reading on that.
Cause that like, that looked like high eighties, man.
He was throwing hard.
It looks hard.
From the left side, very impressive.
You got to wonder if maybe he was getting a couple throws back in the bullpen before the game, you know? I don't mean the kind of throws that, you know, Avid was doing in the bullpen across the street from Fenway.
I'm talking about, you know, lining it up in the bullpen, maybe – Maybe Brian Hudson getting down, dropping down a one, dropping down a two.
I don't know.
Maybe Miles Byrne was kind of warming up because to come off the couch like that, especially if you're not a baseball player, and throw relatively hard and not maybe sky it, that's pretty impressive.
Yeah.
I don't know who was catching somebody on the roster.
I didn't recognize the player who caught the ball last night, but you know, he was surprised too.
He was like, whoa, he was taking it back a bit.
It said Hodgson on the back.
And I was asking the guys.
So he's a Buffalo guy.
