Uh, leading up to me heading out of town, I thought I might do a quick look ahead at a potential trade deadline preview for the Guardians.

Obviously, hard to say exactly what the Guardians will need right now, um, because there's a lot more to be developed and a lot more to see what happens.

But currently, the Guardians look like they're going to definitely be competitive for not only a playoff berth, but certainly for the AL Central title.

And, uh, it should be a time for them to push some chips in and see if they can make a run.

Now, for the team, uh, right now the Guardians really need Jose to get back to being the pull fly ball man that he always has been, and I'm pretty confident that's going to happen.

And then if they can get a little more consistent production of Kyle Manzardo, if Steven Kwan's latest turnaround, uh, keeps on track, and if Chase Delauter can figure out some of those typical rookie struggles, uh, this should be a pretty formidable offense.

So to be honest, given the fact that the Guardians also have Angel Henao and Ralphie Velasquez knocking on the door as well as Khalil Watson, uh, they've got some decent depth.

So I think that for the most part I wouldn't consider the Guardians to be in line to expend resources on getting more hitters.

Now that can change, uh, of course, with injuries, with declines, that could change.

But in my preview today I want to focus in on the idea of the Guardians acquiring some pitching.
