Kim Stoveld and Bearcat chit chat about her early days of endurance sports, transitioning from swimming, to…
Yeah.
I-
My mind did that to me earlier.
I was getting ready to go for a ride, I opened the garage door, and it, it immediately poured.
The ground was wet, and the garage door's going up, and the rain starts coming down, and I was like, "Well, I could ride, or I could look at the radar and I could just [laughs] see if it's gonna stop." And I've chose to do that today, which I feel bad 'cause Mike Harding's out in the Taurus Mountain ride right now, and he is just getting dumped on.
And I was like, "I should do it for Mike."
But at the same time, I just don't want to [laughs] ride in the rain.
[laughs]
Well, then I pulled the whole, "I'm in off-season, so I don't have to be cold and wet if I don't want to."
Yeah.
[laughs]
It does, yeah.
I, uh, I train all year for, like, our bike packing trip, our annual bike packing trip, and then once that's over, the whole I gotta ride in the rain or I gotta be out the door at 5:00 AM, that all kind of goes out the window and it goes back to, not that I don't enjoy riding beforehand, but I go out to enjoy the ride.
I'm not, like, seeing what kind of power I'm putting out or making sure that I hit a certain time.
Yeah.
