I am so, so proud to announce that I have been carefully and very intentionally selected for a writing retreat in France in the French countryside and the very short story here is that I have stalked this particular writing residency for years and years and years and It is predominantly an art residency and they have allowed authors to join now for a writing residency.

perception of what is possible so you ever see something and it's like it just feels so far away but yet your heart is on fire when you think about it but you like consciously put it somewhere else you tuck it away you create space between you and that thing and you say I will win that'll happen when I'll do it when And that was this for me.

But for me, as I go through the years and I would make vision boards, it just was like a pretty thing to look at.

And I believe in going into motion and creating tangible goals around that and actually creating the feeling of having the thing.

So without going down all of that, before I even thought that this was even a possibility for me, I knew... that I had to get real with myself.

And one of those things was that, you know, this is why I'm, I'm coming in hot with these book excerpts.

If you go back into previous episodes, I have shared more writing and I had to get really real with myself that like, I call myself an author I've published before and I wasn't writing.

I was putting everything I had behind these authors to champion them and platform them and inspire them and guide them.

And it took a recent, very terrifying event again go back a few episodes 10 hour countdown I think is marking that season for me that particular episode but it took that very recent very terrifying season to push me into closeness with the things that excite me because there's that mentality of like Well, what have I got to lose? So I remember I'm in the middle of prepping for court.

And I don't know that it's similar to writing a book, but it's very similar in going back into painful experiences, having to dig up specifics about those experiences and become face-to-face with them.

I think I'm trying to pull for some type of connection point there, and I can't really pinpoint exactly what it might be other than the act of having to pull things out from the deepest parts of myself that scared me from my past that I had to use as exhibits.
