What can our life experiences teach us about becoming more authentic, resilient, and intentional? In this episode, we sit down with **Jameka Whitten**, a speaker who brings an open, honest, and…
Jameka WhittenGuestAmosHostSo you describe yourself as someone who speak from a place of, uh, authenticity.
What does being authentic actually mean to you, and why do you think so many people struggle to show up as their, as their true selves?

I think that in the society that we're in right now, especially with the prevalence of social media, it's really difficult for people to show up as they are because they feel the need to be perfect.

And I think we get caught up in the fantasy of what we think is real as opposed to the, your true self.

And I try to tap into that because that's what makes us all different and unique and special.

I don't wanna be a cookie cutter version of anyone else, and I don't want any of my clients, any of my friends, any of my family to feel like that either.

So I really help people embrace themselves and just showcase their best, best self to the world, whatever that looks like.

And being authentic to me is just simply living life on my own terms and taking each day as it comes and, and smiling through it, smiling through the hard things as well as the beautiful things too.
You are very correct.
These days it's very difficult to see people who are truly themselves online.
