How do you build a successful business through relationships, referrals, and genuine human connection? In this episode, Claudine Pohl, founder of Lemoneight, shares the lessons she learned from…
Do you think that there's a time when relying entirely on referrals can actually limit your, your company's growth, or do you believe that because it's referrals and relationships, it is always going to tie in perfectly?
So, yes, because it keeps working, but we need to be able to keep expanding those relationships.
We have a huge opportunity to grow into different sectors, right? Are we doing it currently? Are we scaling to the level that we could? I would say no, not at this point, right? Sometimes what happens in business, you do well, and you get comfortable.
So there's opportunities, but you may not go for them, right? And then sometimes too, I think in my mindset, I think, "Hmm, nope, might not go for that," because that's on the table, but we weren't referred, right? So you do have a point there, right, um, that sometimes you have to go for things, but for me, it's so important that we know who we're working with.
It is.
Um, every client that our company works with is someone that I meet face to face.
So we have one of our team members in a different region of the world, and she's like, "We have this client.
I never met them, right? And I said, "Okay." I'm like, "This is part of growth," right? It, it didn't turn out well.
It, it wasn't the right fit, right? So, so that's why I'm so careful with who we partner with because at the end, it is our reputation within the entire cruise sector, right? So whoever comes on to our Lemonade community has to fit certain, you know, uh, expectations that I value as the leader of the company.
Oh, that's so important-
... because if you're looking at things, you know, moving forward, you're looking for sustainability and a long-term relationship, not just something that's a fly by night, and so it's very important to-
... align both ways.
