How Data and AI Are Reshaping Search and Discovery

Um, so jumping into our first topic, let's talk a little bit about this, why SEO alone is no longer enough.

In an AI-driven search.

So, so talk to us about that and, and, and what's different.

Yeah.

So the-- if you look at the, um, usage of ChatGPT, it's exploded.

I think it's one in 10 adults on Earth use ChatGPT in, in some way.

Um, we've got now, I think, between forty and sixty percent of queries on Google is, uh, are, are resulting in an AI overview, that conversational answer.

Uh, and Google is quickly pushing people into AI mode.

There are over a billion searches, uh, I think a month within, within AI mode.

So, um, we are moving into a conversational interface.

Um, and that's gonna happen, that's gonna happen real quick here.

Uh, on the, on the heels of that, we're gonna be in the agentic web.

Uh, things are moving very quickly.

But, uh, the bottom line is your, your ranking on Google, um, is not going to, um, uh, get you everything that you need.

SEO is still very important.

Uh, that foundation is absolutely critical.

Uh, we're g- We have, um, a big correlation between what is ranking and in, uh, uh, Google's index, um, in Bing's index for, for ChatGPT, in Brave's, uh, index for Claude.

Um, there's a big correlation.

Uh, so, uh, the, the LLMs will go in and retrieve a lot of those results, and that's where they're pulling from.

Uh, but we've also got a lot of cases where ranking one, uh, number one on Google, uh, just does not guarantee that you're gonna be in the answer.

And so, uh, we're moving from a, you know, frankly, a tra- a d- a, a referral traffic driver to an influence game.

We're gonna be influencing the buyer's journey, influencing our customers.

Um, but there's a, a big, uh, shift that's taking place, uh, for sure.

Uh, and we've gotta go above and beyond, uh, what we're doing on SEO.

So s- so on that topic, help us understand, help me understand, um, a little m- more in depth of like what we need to be doing differently for AI search versus, uh, S- typical SEO.
