How do you feel about the breaking news that is taking over the internet about Taylor Swift's wedding? Which one,

that she's getting married in Madison Square Garden, or? Yes.

I mean, that is a, that, I mean, that is a, the weirdest place to get married, right? I don't really understand, like, what the attraction is, other than, like, it's in midtown Manhattan, so it's, like, a great spot in the city, like, location-wise, but, like, like, what, like, what's so weird, like, in an arena, like, people are gonna be sitting in, like, I mean, like, people, imagine if you're a close friend of hers and she puts you up in the nosebleeds.

Well, I have questions for you, Dave, because you know what? I know you're a Swifty at heart.

I am a Swifty.

I've been, you know, it's been it's been a roller coaster of emotions.

But, you know, I'm back on the Swifty.

I'm back on board.

So, OK,

well, first of all, I think you point out appropriately about the venue itself.

Now, we both went to each other's weddings.

We were both in each other's weddings and they were lovely places.

They were beautiful.

They were intimate.

you know, for our friends and family to celebrate our unions to our partners who deal with us and all of our antics for years now.

So I was wondering about, like, why get married in, like, a huge venue that is not intimate, is not romantic? What does this say about their relationship? It's not close, you're saying, maybe? I don't know.

I just have questions.

Well, I mean, to me, it seems like if anything, it's one thing.

That place is wired for sound, right? Wired for audio, wired for video.

So it's like...

They're choosing a place where you can get every angle possible on the camera, right? You can even get, like, you know, thinking about watching an NBA game, the flyover cameras that go from basket to basket, right? I mean, maybe we can follow the...

The ring bearer, right?

Well, this leads me to my next question.

Are they going to record it and then make it available to people watch in movie theaters the way that she did for people that couldn't attend the heiress tour?

Well, I'm assuming like that she's going to do something with the video.

I mean, yeah.

I mean, maybe like you, maybe they will.

That's not about you.

Like have people like go like film it live.

Maybe a live version.

Then you can attend the wedding with, um, With her, right? Because this is America.

We don't have a royal wedding like they do in

England,

right? This might be the closest thing.

So, like, I started thinking about this and, like, came up with a lot of questions about why they're doing it there.

I agree that it's set up for them to, like, make a production of some sort out of it.

And, like, again, I think that just makes me wonder, like, what is their relationship really about? But then I wanted to ask you about the price tag.

Do you know how much they paid to rent Madison Square Garden for three days? Is there a number? Am I guessing? I'm guessing it? Well, I don't know if this is an appropriate number, but the internets have come up with a number.

Well,

I mean, so I would – I mean, man, I would say it could be – Actual costs, like actual costs, like a half a million to a million a day.

But the cost of like taking the building offline could be three to four million dollars a day.

Yeah.

So there

is reporting.

that they paid $1 million a day for a minimum of three days.

Day one, early setup and load in.

Day two, wedding day and event.

Day three, striking and breaking down the event.

Though I believe that there are two days.

First day is, like, 100 people for the ceremony.

The next day is 1,000 people of some sort.

So, like, they're dropping $3 million to $4 million to rent it.

And then, like, total costs for, like...

You know, catering and security and everything.

The Internet's not reporting anything, but the Internet says it could cost anywhere between 10 and 20 million dollars.

Right.

Yeah.

Well, because I mean, I'm right.

And that's so weird for a thousand person guest list.

I mean, who's on that guest list? Not me,

unfortunately.

But I mean, I wonder, yeah, why not just go to, why do you need the arena? Why not go to Radio City Music Hall unless you've bought a bunch of t-shirt bazookas and you're just, you need to fire them off, right? To reach into the stands.

But, you know, like, I'll tell you what, man, the million, I'm telling you, I can guarantee you this, like, the million, there's two things right at work.

A, It's like some kind – there's definitely some kind of, like, guarantee that she'll bring concerts to the Garden in the future.

Oh, interesting.

Yeah.

Right? Which is worth a ton of money.

Yeah.

Right? I mean, dude, you know, I bet you that's part of it.

And B, that million dollars a day, like whatever, like that's just covering – taking it offline.

She's going to have her own people do all the food, all the staffing, all...

Concession stand workers? Garden people and union there, right? The stage hand union.

It's going to be their own people, you know? And it just still...

I mean, it's so weird.
