ParamitaGuestAdam McAvageHostSo you got an MFA in nonfiction, you have essays that are too vulnerable, which I think, yeah, I've heard this a lot from just writers in general, fiction and nonfiction, where it's like they have this thing they want to write, but they don't have, you know, either the experience, the distance, etc.
Do you think you'll eventually go back to those essays or something in some way, shape or form?
Yeah, I think eventually my goal would be to write a memoir of some kind that combines my bilingual identity, different things I've been through, and my love for pop culture.
I wrote poetry, too, in the middle where I had no idea what I was doing between graduating from the MFA and writing the book.
But it was just such a good way to, I think, stop... feeling like I had to face whatever was really depressing me in the real world and just, like, jump into creating worlds of my own.
And when we got here, you are you a hustler like you do a lot? It feels like you're creating a lot.
