The goal is simple: to bring a struggling country's government lenders together around one table.

So it was a way to coordinate, uh, lenders and try to find a quick and swift resolution to a debt crisis.

They are the new big players in sovereign debt because we, uh, and that's what we learn in our classes, uh, there've been a significant change in the, let's call it the creditors group over the last, uh, 20 years.

This is a UK-led project launched by the Chancellor Ra- Rachel Reeves in 2025, and this is actually the important point because, uh, you two, Tom and Marius, seems to disagree about almost everything except on the London, uh, um, Coalition on Sustainable Debt, so that's where you agree.

When a country cannot pay its debt, the system to fix it is slow and difficult, despite the Common Framework and despite the, uh, innovations in governance and then we saw, um, we're seeing in recent years.
