Early Voting

I hope so.

I hope it's going to be very busy.

We are ready for early voting starting tomorrow.

We have 10 sites all over Onondaga County.

And remember, you can go to any one of these sites to vote.

We'll be open 9 to 5 on the weekends, 10 to 6 on Monday, Thursday, and Friday of next week, and 12 to 8 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and then 9 to 5 the next weekend as well at any of those sites.

And we're happy to have you.

I know it's hard to predict.

I was talking to some colleagues in the state of Texas where early voting has started, and they've got long lines.

Can you have a sense of what we might be in for?

Well, I'll know more tomorrow.

But, look, voting is – you know, nobody makes a reservation to vote, and we don't require that.

So we don't really know how many people are going to come out.

But if all of the other states and all of the other contests this year are any indication, we're breaking for high turnout, and we're prepared for it.

So I hope it won't be long lines, but one thing that we do – Here in Onondaga County, we have the wait time tool on our website, and it will tell you what the wait time is at any of our early voting sites.

So you can make a judgment.

If you're, like, in between two sites and you want to go and you want to find the place where it's the lowest line, you can do that right online at onvote.net.

That's a nice feature.

I've used that in the past.

It worked out well.

So hats off to whoever thought that was a good idea.

Well, that was us at the board, but, you know, county IT really made it happen for us.
