All right, let's get into this week's big story.
And that is, well, it was really last week's big story.
The Carousel of Progress is getting a very substantial update.
It will be closing on July 6th and reopening sometime in 2027, we learned last week, thanks to the Disney Parks blog and Imagineer Chris Beatty.
Big picture of this is we're not losing a classic, which is a good thing, because we've lost many classics in the past, which would be heartbreaking to be completely honest.
And I know for some people, this is heartbreaking, but the bigger picture of this is they are gonna continue to fulfill the ride's original purpose.
Chris Beatty in the Parks blog where they made this announcement last week said, the Carousel of Progress was designed to celebrate change, not to stand still.
And I really think that was something that goes all the way back to the origins of the Carousel of Progress in Walt Disney.

How do you keep all of that alive and also take this attraction into this new level as it spins forward into a new future that hopefully will be a great, big, beautiful tomorrow for the carousel of progress? And the real trick is, is you want to keep that classic foundation while also being relatable to today's new audiences.
And this looks like it could be a way that this will happen and ensure that this attraction continues to be a beloved attraction in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland for years and years and years to come.
