Sometimes hope doesn’t mean the story is finished. It means trusting God while He is still writing it.
In this special episode of **Dallas the Podcast**, Dallas shares an update from Duke following Finley’s **29th surgery** and 14 days away from home.
After weeks filled with uncertainty, pain, hospital stays, and prayer, this surgery brought encouraging news. Doctors believe they found the area that had been causing Finley significant discomfort and pain. They were able to remove the plate, deliver antibiotics directly to that area, and examine the rest of her eye—and Dallas shares that **everything else looked great**.
There was another answer to prayer that might seem small from the outside, but meant so much to their family: after undergoing anesthesia 29 times, **Finley came out of anesthesia better than Dallas has ever seen her.**
They know they are not out of the woods yet. Recovery is still ahead. There are still things they are waiting to see.
But today, there is gratitude.
Gratitude for progress. Gratitude for extraordinary doctors and nurses. Gratitude for every person who has prayed. And gratitude for a God who continues to meet us in the places where we need Him most.
If you have been walking through your own season of waiting, uncertainty, or unanswered questions, this short episode is a reminder that **the middle of the story is not the end of the story.**
God is still writing.
Thank you for praying for Finley and standing alongside the Fears family.
