And with all due respect to Nathan Vrooman, Nathan is a tremendous racer who has had an incredible season.
612 points, while it is nearly 100 points ahead of the competition, it is not a total that traditionally wins a Supergrass World Championship.
In fact, if we disregard the 2020 season, which you may or may not remember, this thing called COVID happened and there weren't as many races and not as many people traveled and pursued it.
If we throw that season out, 612's never won, or I shouldn't say never, has not won another Supergrass World Championship in the last decade.
Now, there is opportunity for him to do that, but on the divisional side, Vreeman's gone rounds everywhere.
But from a points earning perspective, it means it's really difficult to improve.
Case in point, on the divisional side, Vreeman would have to win round five to improve a single point.
Now, there is a little bit of opportunity for him at his one remaining national event where he's improving a second round loss.
If he can manage to improve that relatively significantly, you got to like his chances, especially when you look at the rest of the field, because I'm not sure anyone's primed to go past 6'12", or at least I wasn't when I wrote that column in National Dragster.
Now, if he could bolster that second round loss to certainly a final round appearance, or even like a fourth round, fifth round appearance.
