The European Banking Authority has named USDC the first significant e-money token under the markets and crypto assets regulation.
It is the first of forty-five e-money tokens notified in the Block to meet that threshold.
From November twelfth, the EBA will directly supervise USDC's reserve assets, own funds, liquidity requirements, and recovery and redemption plans.
France's Prudential Regulator handles those areas today.
The EBA also signed an agreement with the New York State Department of Financial Services to share information.
USDC is the second largest stablecoin with nearly seventy-three billion dollars in supply, according to The Block.
BNY says it has completed the first use of tokenized assets on a major tri-party repo platform.
BNY recorded a tokenized version on its private ledger and settled it within minutes rather than the standard next-day cycle.
Citadel then used that token as collateral in an overnight repo and received cash in return.
It also expects to extend settlement hours, with European and Asian trading hours planned for next year.
