According to the Wall Street Journal, the investment was made through an entity called String Z Holding RSC and comes weeks after the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency gave World Liberty Trust Company preliminary approval to become a national trust bank.
World Liberty Financial, backed by President Donald Trump's family, wants the charter to offer stablecoin issuance and redemption.
