And today, on the day of this recording, is September 11th, 2026, which means that it is 25 years since the September 11th, 2001 attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. And we thought today it would be very appropriate to speak to our distinguished panel of guests.

who are some of the leaders of and including the founders of Code Pink, for whom the 9-11 attacks really defined the next 25 years because they have spent the last 25 years responding to and dealing with and trying to stop some of what the United States government unleashed in response.

So we are joined today by Jody Evans, founder of Code Pink, who has been a peace activist for decades, who has traveled around the world, including to Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Jordan, the demilitarized zone of North Korea, Cuba, all to try to protest violence.

the US government's abuses of power, all to try and support activists and dissidents around the world.

She is also a film producer.

She produced The People Speak, based on Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States.

She's the co-editor of Twilight of Empire, Responses to Occupation and Stop the Next War Now, Effective Responses to Violence and Terrorism.

We're also joined by Medea Benjamin, in addition to being the co-founder of Code Pink and the Human Rights Group Global Exchange.

She is the author of 11 or author or co-author of 11 books, including Drone Warfare, Killing by Remote Control, Kingdom of the Unjust.
