The New York Mets continue their West Coast swing going 4-2, but not without some lingering frustrations. In this episode, we break down the bizarre series finale in Denver as the Mets appeared to punt the getaway game against the Colorado Rockies, raising plenty of questions about urgency, lineup construction, and in-game management.
We dive deep into Carlos Mendoza’s recent decision making, the bullpen usage that continues to confuse fans, and whether the Mets are overthinking matchups at the expense of consistency. Plus, are the constant lineup shuffles doing more harm than good for an already streaky offense?
And then there’s the elephant in the room: is it finally time for the Mets to DFA Sean Manaea? We discuss Manaea’s struggles, what the alternatives could be, and whether the organization is nearing a breaking point.
All that and more as we recap the road trip, examine the state of the roster, and look ahead to what’s next for the Mets.
