From American Idol to Identity in Christ: Madison Watkins’ Unfiltered Story

What happens when you finally get the thing you thought you wanted… and realize it still isn’t enough? In this special episode of Crunchy Moms Unfiltered, recorded at Alive Music Festival, we sit down with Christian artist and former American Idol Top 12 finalist Madison Watkins for a raw conversation about fame, faith, surrender, and choosing who God called you to be over who the world tells you to become. Madison’s journey took her from America’s Got Talent to the American Idol stage, viral success, major brand partnerships, Los Angeles, and the mainstream music industry. From the outside, it looked like everything was falling into place. But inside, something was missing. Madison opens up about reaching a point where the music she was creating no longer felt true to who she was—and how difficult it became to express the part of her life that mattered most: her faith. Eventually, she had to make a choice. Keep chasing the version of success the industry had laid out for her… or surrender the whole thing to God. She chose surrender. Now Madison is stepping fully into Christian music, using the voice and platform she was given to openly talk about Jesus and create music that actually reflects who she is. We also spend time with Madison’s fiancé, Eli Qalo, a former U.S. Marine, as the conversation goes beyond music and into conviction, standing firm in what you believe, navigating pressure, and refusing to compromise simply because the culture tells you to. This is one of those Crunchy Moms Unfiltered conversations where faith, freedom, purpose, and speaking truth all collide. Because sometimes God doesn’t ask you to abandon the gift He gave you. He asks you to surrender who you thought you had to become in order to use it. 🎙️ Recorded live at Alive Music Festival Follow Madison Watkins: @madison\_watkins Listen to Madison’s music: songwhip,com/madisonwatkins Here’s where to find us 👇🏻  **• Instagram: Crunchymomsunfilteredpodcast** **• YouTube: Crunchymomsunfilteredpodcast**  **Find Brandy Lemire on Instagram @healingandhomesteadingmama** **Find April LoConti on Instagram @thecrunchyishhealingmom** JOIN OUR COMMUNITY full of other link minded others and tons of resources to give your all the knowledge to make empowered decisions.  https://www.skool.com/the-crunchy-moms-unfiltered/about?ref=4c2d934ae57346eaafc3d994ff00f0ce **Leave a comment and let us know what topic you want us to tackle next!** Shop our FAVS here https://linktr.ee/Crunchymomsunfilteredpodcast ***Thank you to our SPONSORS our Power 100***  *Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine Find them here* https://www.schoolofholisticmedicine.com/a/2147506343/9vfLzLZn And you can use CRUNCHYMOMSPODCAST for a coupon code  *Homegrown Collective Find your local farm Find them here*  ...
