What kind of cruiser are you? This week on Cruise Talk Weekly, Tommy and Tony introduce a new Cruise Frequency Framework and break down the different types of cruisers—from first-time cruisers and…
Uh, okay, uh, uh, the framework goes like this.
First time cruiser, that's pretty self-explanatory.
You're, you're like on your first cruise, or you've only been on a cruise.
Then I got another category called the occasional cruiser, and this is somebody that may cruise every two to five years.
And then a regular cruiser, uh, maybe once or twice a year.
The enthusiast cruiser, three to five times a year, and then the super cruiser, uh, you know, six plus years.
I feel like we got more super cruisers than we used to.
Tommy d- what do you think? Do you just think of everybody as a super cruiser? I think sometimes we fall in this trap where we're thinking everybody cruises frequently.
No, I think that's a very, very good breakdown because you do know the people who are like, "Wow, I'm going on a cruise, you know.
I'm gonna try a cruise." And they try it once and then maybe they'll do it when somebody's going on a cruise.
Maybe...
You know, you know, you always see the T-shirts on the cruises, right? And the celebratory T-shirts where, you know, we're commemorating something.
The person, that's a good way to distinguish.
The person who made the shirts, that's probably the super cruiser.
A lot of people wearing those shirts are probably a little bit more casual.
They get the memo, they get the family email, they get the group text.
"Hey, when are we going? Uh, where are we going this year?" Maybe it's, you know, Cancun.
Maybe it's, uh, you know, State Park.
"No, this year it's a cruise." Okay, this year it's a cruise.
So I think that's more of like the casual, uh, and then yeah, it ramps all the way up to fellas like me and you, where it's a little bit like oxygen for us.
Do you think, do you think there's something like, uh, wrong with us mentally or some-
[laughs]
Like, h- how do you think you evolved from a guy who never went on a cruise to somebody who would probably be considered a super cruiser?
I don't think it's something wrong necessarily because you see all sorts of, and this is what I love about this day and age and the crazy social media, uh, content creation type, uh, you know, niche era that we're in.
There's people on, like we talked about a couple of weeks ago, talking about the people who have only plane shows or people who are train enthusiasts, marbles, Lego, all this stuff.
