28. This Cruise Started BAD… But Ended AMAZING

It's great to have you, and, uh, we like to see the listenership growing and the subscribership growing, so thank you for that.

And here we are.

We're back.

And yeah, last time we spoke, I did allude to the fact that you had a cruise, you had a ship, you had a embarkation city, but you did not have a terminal.

And, you know, I don't care.

When you're talking about that much humanity, you can prepare, you can hope, you can go over the logistics as much as you want.

You went in with a perfect attitude.

It was never gonna be perfect, right?

Yeah.

I mean, you, you had to know.

I mean, you know, I, I'm gonna give props to NCL for at least they didn't surprise you at the last minute, like, you know, this is gonna, you know, you just show up and things are crazy.

They did a really good job, I think about a week before, just saying, "Hey, this is what the process is gonna be.

You're gonna show up at this hotel.

You're gonna get checked in.

You're gonna wait and get on a bus.

That bus is gonna take you to a security tent.

They're gonna scan you, and you're gonna get on the cruise shipAll of that was 100% accurate.

Now, the, the challenge becomes the execution of that.

Uh, you know, first time cruise ship went out of Philadelphia in 15 years.

My first time ever in the city of brotherly love, and, uh, I loved it.

It, it lived up to the hype.

Now, I only had one day of tourist exploration, as it were, and, uh, you know, I didn't get to the full nirvana of what I wanted to do in that city, but I, I did do what I like to do when I go to a city for the first time.

I did a hop-on, hop-off bus.

And I, you know, like I'm, I, I, you know, I'm, I'm proud to be an American.

I got my hand over my heart, you know, that kind of thing.
