Well, let's wrap up with kind of a question for those who are considering fostering or who are getting ready to move from foster care to adoption with the child in their home.
You kind of can identify what a foster parent should know when that child's care plan changes from foster care to adoption.
that the biggest thing to know is that the adoption is going to bring a comfort, but it's also going to bring about a new set of emotions because there are so many things they didn't want you to see because they were so fearful of what could happen.
And even through that first few months, they're like, okay, well, this isn't real.
So I would just say that even though adoption has come, you still need to do what you were doing in fostering because...
And so I think that is just critical is like, yes, we were able to change some things after adoption, which was great.
know, like just some of the legalness of, you know, well, they need to go to the doctor here, here, here, here versus, okay, well, we're going to find our primary care physician.
We're going to do what we want for who we're raising and, And not follow any of those requirements because that is not what's best for them and identifying what is best for them.
And so it's just taking in what you know and what you've experienced, but applying that even after after adoption.
