Ashley CookeGuestSo we, we ended up going to, um, New York before we went to CMA Fest.
We spent six days in New York, um, we arrived on May the 28th, and as soon as we got there, we were invited down to Pier 17 for Nate Smith's headline show, which was called The Long Live Country Rock and Roll.
Um, Pier 17 is one of the best venues that I've ever been to.
Um, it's a rooftop venue, um, and it's just got the best backdrop for a show.
Right in the background you've just got Brooklyn Bridge right there.
It's so close to it.
It's beautiful.
As the night was going on, it got darker, the lights and Brooklyn Bridge were shining.
You know, you've got the massive skyline of Manhattan.
You could see the Empire State Building.
You could see the Rockefeller.
You could see part of Times Square in the distance.
It was just beautiful, and it was a perfect show.
Um, the show was kicked off with Brandon Wisham, and, and he gave a outstanding performance.
He's gonna be a country music star that is making his way up, and you're gonna be hearing a lot more of him.
Um, he was then followed by Josh Ross, and he came out, got... immediately got the crowd going as well.
I was absolutely buzzing that he did Drunk Right Now.
Um, and again, he's coming across from the UK very soon, so make sure to catch his performance when he is in the UK as well.
But then it was time for the main event, um, Nate Smith came on stage, um, and he just gives such an energetic performance.
Nate's been on this, um, weight loss pro- like, program of his.
He's done remarkably well.
He's lost about 70 pounds.
You can tell this in his performances and just how happy he is in general.
But he was running up and down the stage.
