All right, let's get into our proposals that we think you should keep an eye on.

And this is related to a proposal we talked about last week, which is the CGO without a C toolchain.

This is actually a separate proposal, but this is one to actually implement it behind a flag.

or environment variable, go experiment environment variable, with the name of C go bindings.


And this is a proposal that we did talk about, I think a few episodes ago, of adding RSS memory to the memory profile that you can get out of Pprof.

And now the main question is whether this should become part of the same profile or whether it should kind of live in its own separate profile.

So if that interested you, this is another proposal to go back and kind of catch up on.

But the new advancement on this is that they have made it so it accommodates named numeric types.

And this is a proposal to expose the AMD64 microarchitecture in the XSYS CPU package.

So I think there's technically a way to get to this information right now, but this would actually give you a kind of a top level API that can give you the architecture level from zero to four, zero being not AMD 64 and then the other one through four being the actual four levels.
