But for many of us, we met her first when the Madanga Commission started late last year in 2025.
This as a result of that explosive press conference that was called by the provincial police commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, General Ndandam Kwanazi.
explosive allegations made of interference and how rotten, how rotten the justice system is and how it's been infiltrated by criminal elements and by cartels, you name it.
Here comes one Ongye Gusha who's been following these proceedings as somebody who's funny, somebody who's very creative, artistic, a fantastic storyteller, has taken what is a very serious issue But then a commission is not something to play with.
And every so often, in fact, every day, if you think about it, is able to package content based on what has emerged from the commission.
offering it, delivering it to an audience that perhaps may otherwise not watch the commission, not engage the major issues of the day.
And today, she joins us to have a conversation about how she thinks about her role her important role as a storyteller, as a content creator, and how this moment in this, what I call this era of accountability that we're in as a country, what the role of a person like herself is in ensuring that these issues travel far and wide and why it is that she's chosen to use the medium of comedy.
So you have a stranger who says, hey, I laugh at your stuff all the time, and you show up.
