I went and looked at the calendars and I checked to see how many meetings were scheduled and how many one-on-ones were canceled.
You know what I found? 50%, 5-0, half the meetings that were scheduled never happened.
My team, my managers, the guys that worked for me, guys and gals, said they wanted to do one-on-ones with people.
In the weeks that the meetings happened, when they actually occurred, not my meetings, but their meetings, I checked and found out nothing was different.
So nothing was different between the weeks the meetings did happen and the weeks they didn't happen.
My question was, why the hell do you say you're going to do these meetings? 50% of the time, you don't do it.
