So for those people listening, you know, what were those early days like when you first decided, okay, let's have a baby? What were those first days like? What were those expectations and how did your journey unfold?

Well, we both started the family journey when I was 39 because we met later in life.

It's not that I didn't want kids or Tom didn't want kids, we just hadn't met.

And I think we decided very quickly, well, we did decide quickly that we wanted a family.

And at that time we knew of several of our friends who had been through IVF and we know now this isn't the norm, but they had success first time.

And to say that we were naive was an understatement completely and we were uninformed.

But to start with, we thought that our hopes were high and I think our expectation was it will happen.

I don't think we had any idea, I don't think anyone does, of how arduous and cruel a journey can be.

But I think our expectations were quickly shelved and placed with a new unknown reality.

Then for the next however long until now, it was just a blur of hopes being dissipated in a matter of seconds and the despair and heartbreak setting in for long, long periods of time.

And if we could go back now, I think... we'd like to be a little bit more informed than when we entered in guns blazing, thinking this will work.

And I think that is the same for a lot of people, which I don't know where the fix can be put in place because it just seems to be a common thing for people that they're just so naive going in.

And then the reality hits and it's heartbreaking because the least, which I'm sure everyone who's gone through it can understand what that feeling is like.
