Commissioner in a Car: How to Check or Update your Registration or Register New Online.

So the first thing, you know, many people know this form here.

And sorry, Facebook Lives doesn't mirror my screen, so sorry about that.

But this is the normal voter registration form.

And this is what a lot of people have filled out, especially if they registered to vote a few years back.

And this is how we used to register.

You'd fill out this long form, you'd fold it up, you'd mail it back to the Otterdog and County Board of Elections, and then we'd get it and process it.

So that is normally, or that is how we used to do things.

We don't do it that way anymore.

We do everything online.

Now, most of our voter registrations comes through automatic voter registration through the DMV right now or updates through the DMV, through the MyDMV.

That is where about 90% of our registrations come through.

But we also have online voter registration directly through the Board of Elections websites.

So we're going to kind of touch on that.

I'm not going to get into it that much.

But what I want to do is talk about checking your voter registration because you may be already registered to vote but your registration may not be up to date you may have moved since the last time you voted and you haven't updated your registration we may have gotten a mail check card back even though you're at the address that you're at and then we have to inactivate you and we do send out a notice about that but Sometimes people won't see that until they go to the polls and then they gotta vote by affidavit.

So what I'm going to talk about is how to check that right now.
