I, I mentioned just in our, our prep call before getting online here that we've done a bunch of research into DTC brands going back around almost 10 years ago now.

And at the time, right, the idea was that, um, DTC brands were, you know, completely online.

But, you know, how do you define a DTC brand? Is it just a startup brand now? Um, does it involve more than just e-commerce? You know, what, what are the, how do you define that?

Honestly, and I, like I ha- I hate like institutional capital driven, uh, buzzwords, but I'm gonna use one right now.

And the reason is, as you guys know, and I've talked a lot with Renee about this over the years, that like when you're like physical brick-and-mortar native, the whole growth strategy and, quite frankly, the unit economics are completely different, as well as the balance sheet pressures that get put on those businesses.

And I, we have actually started to, we didn't have this philosophy five years ago, but recently in the last 12 months, we've developed this proprietary framework we call the FTG Growth Marketing Game Playbook.

And, and what that means is we've just, we've realized after watching, we've worked with hundreds of brands, and we've seen which ones have worked and scaled successfully and profitably and which ones failed and why.

And as we kind of asked ourselves that question, what we started realizing is every brand is in one of three buckets.

There's more games than three, but there's three that are most common in, in, in e-commerce, and it's the apparel game, the durable goods first purchase dominant game with no repeat purchase, and then there's the consumables high LTV game.

How you go from being digitally native to omni-channel, and when you need to do that.
