Harry ShepherdGuestCombat Fuel Podcast HostHostget yourself prepared, like you need to be fit.
Did you sort yourself out? Or did you have anyone like yourself? You helped coach guys get ready for Royal Marine selection.
Did you have anything like that when you were there? Or was it, when I joined, it was a, here's a stick that up on the wall.
I've got to go around and do a little circuit and

just smash myself until I can't move anymore, which is probably not optimal, but...

Yeah, so part of my idea around setting up what I initially set up was the vacuum of that or the lack of that.

And certainly my... training for it or in a lot of my friends training for it there was nothing like there was a little bit like i said a poster or a book or whatever nothing really comprehensive i had a book called um i forget the name now but it's it's a parachute regiment book anyway by sam mcgrath and he's like he's like the youngest major in the paris i um saw a youtube video again obsessive youtube apparently uh bought his book and then had that as my operating system for my fitness.

I didn't train very well, but I trained really hard and really consistently.

My password for something was my deadlift, which is 130 kilos at the time, because I was super proud of that and happy with that.

And we got thrown in the deep end at college where we had to do a bit of that resistance training.
