Well, not an event, uh, in of itself, but, uh, I guess the, the hardest thing I've done that I'm still having nightmares about is the, uh, the vertical marathon.

We tried in 2020, and I eventually succeeded on the second timer in 2024, where I climbed Ben Nevis 32 consecutive times.

Uh, so that was, uh, 14, 15 days, sorry, of just constant graft, sometimes three times up and down.
I think that's a pretty good introduction-
... to what we're gonna get into.
Like, a marathon, whatever.
Vertical marathon.
It's, it's, it's mad.

A ex-business partner came up with the idea, um, and like I say, w- we had the, uh, stupid plan of doing it on Nevis.

And, and we went out there, and we practiced, did it two or three times over, uh, uh, a couple of triples in, in training and felt confident.

Second time was more brutal 'cause I did it more times, but it was, uh, yeah, it was a bad idea.
But you completed it, and I don't think there's many people that can say they've completed a vertical marathon.

During the vertical marathon, we found out that, because there'd been no coverage or press about it, there was a chap in, I wanna say Wales, who had done one, but he'd done one, uh, on a, on a kind of a grassy knoll at the back o- over the course of, I don't know, a long, a long time.
